ICC

Indonesian Canadian Congress community gathering in Ottawa

Indonesian Canadian Congress

A federally registered, volunteer‑powered non‑profit based in Ottawa, fostering enduring connections between Canada and Indonesia through culture, education, technology, and community service since 2005.

Who We Are

Founded in 2005 by Canadians and people of Indonesian heritage, ICC exists to enrich Canada’s multicultural fabric by sharing Indonesian perspectives, values, culture, and heritage within communities across the country. We serve as a welcoming hub for newcomers, a bridge for cultural and professional exchange, and a catalyst for youth and community‑led initiatives.

Our Vision

To cultivate a vibrant forum that deepens ties—especially between Canada and Indonesia— across education, technology, culture, and social impact, so that together we help shape a more inclusive and sustainable future for the next generation.

Our Mission

  • Serve as a trusted first point of contact for people seeking information about Canada or Indonesia—via our website, programs, and personal connections.
  • Support newcomers to Canada with guidance, referrals, and community networks to help them settle and thrive.
  • Strengthen local and global communities by participating in cultural events, collaborations, and sponsorships.
  • Educate and connect our communities—bridging knowledge gaps, elevating awareness of global issues, and encouraging stewardship of our environment and quality of life.
