Who we are

ICC began as a grassroots effor by Indonesians in Canada who wanted more than just occasional gatherings. We wanted a lasting, organized way to celebrate culture, support newcomers, and give back.

Over the years, our small group of volunteers has grown into a dedicated team that reflects the real needs of our community. As ICC grows, we want to expand our efforts for impactful programs and meaninful connections. But for now, our focus is simple — showing up for our community.

If you're excited about shaping the future of the Indonesian-Canadian community, we'd love to meet you.

Founded in 2005 by Canadians and people of Indonesian heritage, ICC exists to enrich Canada’s multicultural fabric by sharing Indonesian perspectives, values, culture, and heritage within communities across the country. We serve as a welcoming hub for newcomers, a bridge for cultural and professional exchange, and a catalyst for youth and community‑led initiatives.

We’re community-first — we listen closely to the needs of students, families, professionals, and newcomers so we can design programs that actually make a difference in their daily lives. Whether it’s navigating settlement services, finding mentorship, or simply connecting over food and tradition, our goal is to make sure no one feels alone. When our community thrives, we all thrive.
